After a lot of deliberations over who to nominate as their Chief Ministerial candidate in the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections, BJP has decided to put all the feuds within the party to rest by nominating BlackBerry Messenger or BBM as its CM candidate.
Talking to us exclusively on the sidelines of the 1001th meeting called for deciding Delhi CM candidate , a senior leader said, “We wanted someone who has a mass following amongst youth and can be a candidate of consensus.” BBM, reportedly has more support within the party itself than either of the top choices- Vijay Goel or Dr Harsh Vardhan. The infighting was bitter but what took BJP leaders by surprise was that everybody at the meeting was busy downloading BBM on their android phones and posting their pins on Facebook, Twitter and what’s apping their friends.
A pre-poll survey, just one of the many surveys which parties are conducting these days, was held on Facebook and Twitter. IT guys of the BJP brigade informed the key decision-makers that BBM was the most trending keyword which helped them make an informed choice and declare BBM as the most popular, people friendly and a candidate of a mass acceptance.
Now that BJP will go to poll with BBM, they are confident of securing a victory over Congress and AAP. While Congress has not moved on from SMSes yet, AAP is using free messaging service way2sms to reach out to people.
